CORINTHIAN FILM FESTIVAL INTERNATIONAL JURY

Anamaria Marinca

marinca.jpgShe was introduced to the large audience with the leading role of Otilia in 4 months, 3 weeks and 2 days (2007) by Cristian Mungiu. She won international acclaim and some significant film awards for this stunning performance of hers. Restless artistic spirit as she is, she is about to surprise us once again with the performances she will deliver on various film projects. Just before these films are on the big screen she interferes with Corinthian International Film Festival, as a member of the Festival's Jury.  

 

 

Costas Andreopoulos

andreopoulos.jpgToo many things can be said about a company like "Twentieth Century Fox". It is actually a significant part of the film industry and this is mostly due to the experienced and talented professionals they are consisted of. One of them is Costas Andreopoulos. Not only is the insight about upcoming forces in film, the deep knowledge of cinema in all its aspects, but also it is his solid personality that led him to take over management of Fox's department in the demanding region of the Balkans. With this quality he is participating in Corinthian International Film Festival, as a member of the International Jury.

 

Dionysios Archimedes Zervos

zervos.jpgHe grew up with significant images engraved in his memory. His father was a radiologist and his mother a painter. He was influenced both by the images of X-rays and by the paintings of Monet who was his mother's favorite. This is how he decided from a very early age that he wanted to become a director. Not only has he accomplished his goal to become a filmmaker, but also he has succeeded in making well acclaimed feature films and being recognized as one of the most talented upcoming filmmakers of our age. His feature film "The Shore" (2005), the first part of his trilogy about loss has been internationally distinguished in major film events and institutions. The film will be screened at the official Corinth International Film Festival Program. Just before he goes back to shoot the second part of the trilogy he will be attending Corinthian International Film Festival as member of the Jury.

 

Q-Orianka Kilcher

kilcher.jpgHer name means Golden eagle in the Quechua Language. At the age of 16 Q'orianka Kilcher has emerged into the front ranks of young actors with her portrayal of Pocahontas opposite Colin Farrell  and Christian Bale in Terrence Malick's The New World. Her performance won her the 2006 Alma Award for best Latin American actress in a Feature film and the National Board of Reviews best breakthrough performance of 2006. She is a committed human rights and environmental Activists who uses her voice as tool to bring the need for Universal dignity, compassion and basic Human Rights, to the attention of the international community... She is the founder of  ‘On-Q initiative'‚ a youth driven human rights and environmental organization heading off campaigns to connect young Hollywood with youth activist leaders and projects from around the world.

 

FOTIS MITSIS

Fotis Mitsis is one of the most significant and well acclaimed cinematographers of his age. Having really important experience in feature films, documentaries and in advertisements, one could say that he is a solid professional - adept at modern audiovisual world. This experience of his as well as his valuable knowledge will be transmitted to people during a master class he is going to hold with the rest members of the jury within the framework of Corinthian International Film Festival. His latest feature film entitled TENDERNESS competes in the International competition section of this year's Thessaloniki Film Festival.
